About Mount Stewart
After a three year long restoration, the house at Mount Stewart is now back open. Once the home of 7th Marchioness Edith, Lady Londonderry, the house retains it's elegant splendour and contains a collection of many interesting pieces owned by the family. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is home to one of the oldest grape vines in the UK as well as a seven acre lake. It makes the perfect spot for walks with both a Lake walk and a red squirrel trail.
