About Wilberforce House
The birthplace of William Wilberforce, this museum tells the story of the horros of the transatlantic slave trade and the work of Wilberforce in his attempts to have it abolished, as well as the continuing fight against contemporary slavery. The house contains many of Wilberforce's personal belongings including journals and costumes as well as many significant pieces linked to abolition of the slave trade.
