About Clayton Hall
Originally built for the Clayton family in the 12th century and owned by several notable families including that of Lord Byron, the building has been remodelled a few times over the centuries but still retains some pieces of older architecture and is steeped in a fascinating history. The newer parts of the building have been converted into Victorian-style living quarters to give the feel of what it really would have been like to live in the 19th century.
