About Leicester Cathedral

Originally built over 900 years ago, but rebuilt and enlarged between the 13th and 15th centuries, this Cathedral has a fascinating history and is still an amazing piece of religous architecture. Home to the famous tomb of Richard III after the discovery of his body in a nearby Car Park, the Cathedral also has a number of other areas of interest including: the Bishops Throne, the wonderfully carved Vaughn porch and a number of different chapels.
