A Real Italian Job at Brooklands Museum

Over 1,000 Italian cars - from the fastest Ferrari to the most unassuming Fiat 500 - will fill Brooklands Museum's grounds to overflowing on Saturday, May 4th - and the most exciting of them will be seen and heard in action on the Mercedes-Benz World circuit. All the great Italian marques, including Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia will be there, together with an extensive Trade Village, Club displays and special catering throughout the site. This year will be the 27th anniversary of the UK's first and finest all-Italian car event, which co-organiser Auto Italia magazine moved to the Birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation 22 years ago.

The inner Paddock in front of the Clubhouse will be reserved for especially rare and interesting cars, including DK Engineering's Ferrari F40 and Enzo, while eagle-eyed fans can scour every inch of the Motoring Village, Finishing Straight, Banking and outer Paddock for that elusive Autobianchi or Stanguellini amongst the chrome and polished finery.

The event gates open at 8.30am and the timetable for the day includes an hour of demonstration runs for some very special cars on the Mercedes-Benz World handling circuit from 12 noon, and a session on the famous Brooklands Test Hill in the afternoon. In addition to the visiting Italian beauties on show, all the usual Museum displays including classic cars, motorcycles, aircraft and London Bus Museum will be open.

Parking for Italian cars is on the Museum site via the Campbell Gate accessed from Brooklands Road, the B374, although owners are advised to arrive early to guarantee a space. Parking for non-Italian cars will be in The Heights off Wellington Way. Visitors are advised to follow the special event signage on the day.

Ticket prices on the day are: Adults £15, Seniors/ Students £14, Children £6, Families £37. Brooklands Trust Members & LBPT members £5. The half-hour Brooklands Concorde Experience is an extra £4 for adults and £2 for children, and can be booked on arrival. For full details visit www.brooklandsmuseum.com or telephone 01932 857381.
