Classic Breakfast kicks off Half Term at Brooklands Museum

Starting at 8am on Sunday 25th October, the last Brooklands Classic Breakfast of 2015 will give hundreds of vintage and classic vehicle enthusiasts the chance to have breakfast and admire the cars, motorbikes, commercials, retro and supercars on show. There will be plenty for regular visitors arriving from 10am to see and enjoy, with many of the vehicles staying for a run up Test Hill* later in the morning.

Those arriving early enough in their classics (any vehicle more than 30 years old or an example of a model that went into production before 1985) will be able to park in the Paddock, with later classic arrivals and more recent collectable cars such as Morgans, Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Aston Martins parking just outside the Paddock. Modern cars attending the Breakfast will be allocated a space behind the Wellington Hangar as directed by the Brooklands marshals.

Breakfast is served in the Sunbeam Café and the Napier Room in the Clubhouse from 8am - 9.45am and will include tea or coffee, sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, hash brown, tomatoes, beans, toast and butter. Childrens’ breakfasts are three of the above items + toast and a drink. Prices for the Classic Breakfast are as follows:

• Adults & Seniors £12
• Children (5 - 12yrs) £6
• Children under 5 are free unless they are eating breakfast, in which case they pay £6.

All prices include breakfast and entry into the Museum. Pre-booking is available, especially for groups, by calling (01932) 857381 ext 253, but anybody can just turn up on the day. Entry for all vehicles for the Breakfast is via the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road (last breakfast tickets will be sold at the Gate at 9.30am). The Motoring Village displays open at 9am and the rest of the Museum will be open as usual from 10am. Subject to weather, Test Hill* will be in action after breakfast with a briefing at 10.15am.

Non-breakfasters can come and enjoy the visiting vehicles from 10am, paying the normal admission price: Adults £11, Seniors £10, Children (5-16 yrs) £6, Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) £30. Running all day will be the Concorde Experience at £5 for adults and £3 for children, with a special autumn offer in the 4D Theatre with tickets at just £3 for adults and £2: race round the Brooklands Banked circuit at over 100mph in the Napier-Railton Race Experience, pilot a Hawk T1 in a breathtaking aerobatic display with the Red Arrows Experience or lap LeMans with British racing legend Mike Hawthorn in his D-Type Jaguar.

For directions and more details of the Classic Breakfast download the FREE Brooklands Museum app or see the main website: www.brooklandsmuseum.com or telephone 01932 857381.
