Eden Sessions riding high with exclusive Foals show

Foals will be playing their only show in England this year, outside their festival exclusive at Citadel, at the Eden Sessions on July 11, 2017.

The Oxford quintet are one of the most exciting live acts in the UK and are known for their unique indie-rock sound and complex lyrics, influenced by literature and philosophy.

Foals have released four studio albums – Antidotes, Total Life Forever, Holy Fire and What Went Down – all of which charted in the top ten in the UK & achieved over gold status.

In 2015 they were named Best Act in the World Today at the Q Awards, following their accolade of Best Live Act at the same awards in 2013. They have twice been nominated for the Mercury Prize – for Total Life Forever and Holy Fire – and their haunting single Spanish Sahara was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award.

Spanish Sahara and Inhaler have both won the Best Track gong at the NME Awards, and What Went Down was named Best Album last year.

Rita Broe, Eden’s marketing director, said: “It’s a real coup for the Sessions and for Cornwall that Foals have chosen to play Eden for their only non-festival show in England this year.

“They are an incredible live act who have wowed audiences across the world with massive, energetic, emotionally-charged performances. Their triumphant headline show at Reading last year was proof that they are up there with the best. This will be a huge gig at Eden and an opportunity that no music fan should pass up.”

Also on the bill at the Eden Sessions in 2017 is Bastille (June 15), Madness (June 16 – SOLD OUT), Royal Blood (June 22) and Bryan Adams (July 6 – SOLD OUT).

Tickets to the Foals Eden Session will go on general sale at 5.30pm on Tuesday March 28 at www.edensessions.com.
