Tom Jones Live at Eden now available on BBC iPlayer!

One of the greatest Eden Sessions performances ever, by legendary singer Tom Jones, is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Highlights of the outstanding show filmed at the Eden Project last summer can be viewed HERE

Tom Jones Live at Eden will remain on BBC iPlayer until February 12, following which selected tracks will be available on Eden’s YouTube channel, Eden Sessions TV https://www.youtube.com/edensessions

It will also run on BBC Red Button regularly until January 23.

Rita Broe, Eden Project Marketing Director, said: “Tom Jones is a true music legend and we are so proud to have brought him to the Eden Sessions to perform in Cornwall for the first time in three decades.

“This is a fabulous chance to watch one of our best-ever Eden Sessions gigs, whether you’re reliving the amazing experience of that night or if you’re just watching the spectacular show for the first time.”

Tom Jones played at the Eden Sessions in June 2016 – his first show in Cornwall in more than 30 years after performing at the now-closed Cornwall Coliseum in Carlyon Bay near St Austell in 1983.

The Sessions are a series of outdoor summer shows at the Eden Project, with the stage set against the backdrop of the spectacular illuminated Biomes.

Tom was born in South Wales in 1940, son of a Rhondda Valley coal miner, and scored his first hit single with It’s Not Unusual in 1965. The song was number one in the UK and made the top ten in the US.

Since then he has sold more than 100 million records and has had numerous smash hits, including Delilah, What’s New Pussycat, She’s a Lady and Kiss.

He was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1989 and was knighted by Her Majesty The Queen for services to music in 2006. He has won awards spanning the decades of his career, from three awards at the 1966 Grammys to BRIT Awards nearly 40 years later, including winning Best British Male in 2000 and Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2003.

Tom Jones’s concert is part of a memorable series of shows being featured on BBC iPlayer including Lionel Richie’s spectacular Eden Sessions performance last year.

The Eden Sessions will return this summer with acts such as Madness (June 10) and Bryan Adams (July 6), both of which are sold out.
