About Rotunda Museum
Rotunda Museum, managed by the Scarborough Museums Trust, is one of the world's first purpose built museums, opening in 1829. The museum is full of interesting artifacts, from the Bronze Age skeleton - Gristhorpe Man - to a Plesiosaur skeleton, found on the Yorkshire Coast. The unique circular building alone means it is well worth a visit, with it's magnificent ceiling and fascinating gallery.
