About Stonebridge City Farm
Since the 1970’s Stonebridge City Farm has given everyone the opportunity to experience ‘a slice of the countryside in the heart of the city’. With smaller animals to cuddle, large animals to feed and pet and a wildlife garden to explore there's something for the whole family to enjoy.
Open daily, the Barn is filled to the rafters with adorable rabbits and cheeky guinea pigs and the paddocks are grazed by larger animals - from cows to ponies and pigs to goats. There are also gardens, orchards and polytunnels where herbs, fruit and vegetables are grown for the animals and Cafe and a wildlife walk which is a great place to spot birds, butterflies and even squirrels.
Home-made snacks, lunches and cakes are served in the Cafe with the menu catering for adults, children, vegetarians and other dietary requirements. The small Shop sells Farm-grown honey, eggs, seasonal garden produce and plants as well as pet care items. The Farm is fully-accessible - being wheelchair- and pushchair-friendly as well as having accessible toilets and a baby change area.
Without the kind generosity of the public and corporate donors Stonebridge City Farm would not be able to continue improving the lives and employment opportunities of its community of volunteers and placements from all walks of life, many of whom have learning or physical disabilities or experience of mental health distress.
