About St. Chad's Cathedral
As the first Catholic cathedral built after the reformation of the 16th century, this site is full of intersting history to discover. Built in the 19th century to accomodate the growing number of Catholics within Birmingham's population, the cathedral contains a number of medieval furnishings collected by the cathedral's architect and is a fantastic surviving example of late gothic architecture.
