Producers of SHREK THE MUSICALare delighted to announce that, following the unprecedented success of the first ever UK and Ireland Tour, the larger-than-life production will be returning to Leeds Grand Theatre from Tuesday 18th December 2018 to Sunday 6th January 2019.

Leeds Grand Theatre will be beginning its Autumn/Winter Season later this month, welcoming a host of music, drama, dance and comedy - taking us right up to Christmas.

DIRECTED AND CHOREOGRAPHED BY CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD, STARRING ALEXANDRA BURKE For one week only - from Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th August 2016 - an all new production of the hit musical comedy SISTER ACT, starring Alexandra Burke, directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, will be at Leeds Grand Theatre.

STARRING GARY MAVERS, ALEX FERNS, SUSIE AMY, ANITA HARRIS, MARK WYNTER, LAUREN DRUMMOND AND BEN NEALON thingFrom the pen of award-winning writing team Richard Levinson and William Link, the creators of the unsurpassable mystery series Murder She Wrote and TV detective series Columbo comes a classic ‘whodunnit’ murder mystery. Rehearsal for Murder opens at Leeds Grand Theatre on Monday July 4th for one week only.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and West End hit, Million Dollar Quartet, that celebrates some of the greatest names in rock ‘n’ roll history, is set to embark on its first ever UK Tour, landing in Leeds in November.

STARRING GARY LUCY, JOE ABSOLOM, ANDREW DUNN, LOUIS EMERICK, CHRIS FOUNTAIN AND KAI OWEN Simon Beaufoy’s THE FULL MONTY, which won the UK Theatre Award for Best Touring Production, is at Leeds Grand Theatre later this year from November 28th to December 3rd.

Leeds Grand Theatre is gearing up to Twist and Shout as it confirms that Let It Be, as part of the biggest ever tour of The Beatles’ celebration show,  is taking to its stage this July.

Take That star Gary  Barlow took to the stage for the curtain call of his new Musical The Girls (Monday 16th November), which is currently having its world premier at Leeds Grand Theatre until December 12th, giving Leeds a rare treat.

One of the big winners of the prestigious Tony Awards®, held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York, was The National Theatre’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, winning a total of five awards – Best Play – Simon Stephens, Best Direction of a Play – Marianne Elliott, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play – Alex Sharp as Christopher Boone, Best Lighting Design of a Play – Paule Constable and finally, Best Scenic Design of a Play – Bunny Christie and Finn Ross.

The Learning Team at Leeds Grand Theatre & City Varieties Music Hall has been nominated for its ‘overall contribution to child friendly Leeds’ in the Child Friendly Leeds Awards to be held this Thursday 30th January.
