About Middleton Railway
A fascinating piece of technological history as the world's oldest working railway, the Middleton Railway runs a working service on weekends and bank holidays and is an easy way to visit Middleton Park. The largest part of the engineering house has been converted into a locomotive museum, where a large collection of antique engines and other rolling stock are displayed as well as a number of fascinating exhibits detailing the history of the steam locomotive and how they are maintained today.
