Sir Richard Arkwright's 1783 showpeice Masson Mills, on the river Derwent at Matlock Bath are the finest surviving and best preserved example of one of Arkwright's cotton mills. The mills now host a shopping village and working textile museum with historic working machinery.

As we drove through mattlock bath, we saw the mill standing on the side of the river, its a very large building and has an important past in the peaks. It now houses a very large shopping centre with clothing, ales and more. Although the shops Arne high street brands, its worth a visit if ......
