Situated in the centre of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site, Princes Street Gardens are a beautiful centre of greenry within this historic city. The gardens are home to a number of memorials and monuments commeomorating both those who died fighting in wars as well as influential Scottish men of the 18th and 19th centuries. Coupled with Edinburgh castle also towering over the western end of the gardens, this area is a space of great historic significance. Also home to the world famous Floral Clock planted in 1903 and made up of over 30,000 plants, these gardens are the perfect space for those looking for  a respite from the stresses of busy modern life, or those looking to appreciate fantastic Scottish botanical work.

Please note that the gates at Johnson Terrace and Castle Hill are often closed out with these hours depending on events in or around Edinburgh Castle or staff resources.
