About Portsmouth Cathedral
Originally founded as a chapel to St Thomas of Canterbury in the twelfth century, this now Cathedral is a wonderful piece of religous architecture and contains a number of areas of note within. Home to the acclaimed Cathedral Choir as well as the Cathedral Consort and the mixed youth choir Cantate, music is very much at the heart of this Cathedral with a variety of amazing performances throughout the year. As this is still a functioning place of worship, make sure to check ahead for service times as well as special events.
