I took the children here while on the way to the beach - and it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. I can't quite remember what we paid, but I don't remember feeling ripped off. It doesn't take too long, as it's basically a walk down (or up) through the Chine - but it was very beautiful, and a nice escape from the bustle of the town. My kids (7 and 4) enjoyed it, but it's not particularly aimed at children (they enjoyed running up and down the paths). If you're in the area, I'd definitely give it a look, but probably wouldn't travel there specifically.
