Come face to face with the Gruffalo at Chessington World of Adventures Resort! New for 2017 is the Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, which takes you and your family on a picturesque riverboat journey with Mouse through the deep dark wood. The ride is accompanied by many other exciting Gruffalo offerings across the whole Resort, including Gruffalo rooms in the Safari Hotel, The Gruffalo Gift Shop, The Gruffalo Bites food outlet, character Meet & Greets and showings of the animated film at The Gruffalo Arena, plus much, much more!!
Take a walk on the wild side as well and get up close and personal with over 1,000 animals from the endangered to the exotic. In Trail of the Kings, seek out new treasures as you walk among Chessington’s jungle giants such as Western Lowland Gorillas, Sumatran Tigers and Asiatic Lions. Last Autumn, Chessington saw the exciting arrival of three female Asiatic Lion cubs, who are part of an endangered breed that has taken nearly 100 years to come back from the brink of extinction.
Plus, Chessington has rides for all Adventurers. Brave Young Adventurers can experience their first rollercoaster thrill on Scorpion Express in Mexicana - watch out for surprises at every turn including fire and water effects! Rising from the ruins in Wild Asia is the untamed KOBRA, which takes you on an exhilarating ride spinning through the air. Dare for a scare? Then take the flight of fright on Vampire as you soar through the trees of Wild Woods with your legs dangling beneath you.
