Millennium Square, will again play host to the popular real-ice ice rink this winter; tickets are on sale now for the We The Curious ice rink, and the build begins next week!
A winter playground on Bristol’s harbourside, the ice rink is returning for a fifth year to Millennium Square. It will be open from Saturday 18 November until 16 January; sessions will be open to the general public, schools groups, home educator groups, evening ‘Disco Boots’ and special ‘Little Boots’ under 8s sessions.
The ice rink will be joined by fairground activities as part of ‘Millennium Square Winter Fair’, including a carousel, as well as the return of the ‘Skyview’ Wheel (a 35m observation wheel), the Après-ski container bar, chalet stalls with a selection of delicious hot food and drinks, and a fabulous Christmas tree. There will also be special ‘At The Movies’ film screenings on Big Screen Bristol throughout the season.
Located in the heart of the Harbourside, the 450m² ice rink will run underneath the iconic chrome-plated Planetarium building, and can host up to 150 skaters per session.
The Skyview Wheel will offer rides of up to 6 passengers per cabin, for a 5 minute ride offering stunning panoramic views of the city; it will run from 10am-9pm daily, with rides costing from £4 per child (aged 3+) or £6 per adult.
Tickets for the ice rink will cost £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for concessions and £7.50 for children for a 45-minute skate session, with reduced entry rates for group bookings and a discount for booking in advance online. Skate aids (penguins and bananas!) are also available to hire.
Opening times vary, so please visit www.wethecurious.org or call our Bookings team on 0117 915 1000 (Monday to Friday 9-5) for more information. The ice rink will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
We The Curious was formerly known as At-Bristol Science Centre. This is the first ice rink as We The Curious.
