Drayton Manor Park prides itself on offering a perfect family day out, right down to the smallest details and its efforts have been rewarded with two Loo of the Year Awards.
The much loved theme park won Loo of the Year for having the best ‘away from home toilets’ in the UK in both the National Category for Leisure and National Category for Heritage. The loo’s judged were Thomas Land, Air Race and the Zoo.
The Loo of the Year Awards has been identifying the best in Britain since 1987 and is recognised as the standard setter. Every entry received an unannounced visit from an inspector and was assessed against the specific criteria, including signage, décor, fixtures, fittings and overall standards of cleanliness and management. Every loo then receives a grade ranging from bronze to platinum, with gold and platinum winners being shortlisted for the awards.
William Bryan, Managing Director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We are extremely proud of this award as cleanliness and keeping up to standards is something we pride ourselves on, and to get recognition for it is fantastic. To win two different categories, amongst thousands of entries, is really testament to the hard working team we have here, who ensure the attraction is up to scratch so that families have the best possible time with us.”
