Experience The Real Deal This February Half Term

Howletts Free Kids Club Kicks Off February Half Term With Tiger Themed Activities

From Saturday 13th February to Sunday 21st February 2016, visitors to Howletts, Kent’s award winning wild animal park, are guaranteed the real deal this February half term,  with a host of free activities and animal talks taking place every day.

February half term will also see the first ever Kids Club at Howletts, where young adventurers can experience real fun with tiger themed activities including an exciting tiger trail to win prizes and the chance to create their own animal art.

Neil Spooner, Animal Director, said: ‘February half term is the perfect opportunity to get the family together.  Along with our popular animal talks and feeds, kids will be able to get their faces painted, join in fun activities and enter competitions to win great prizes.  I’m expecting the club to be very popular.’

Home to over 450 animals and over 50 individual species, Howletts is a 100 acre breeding sanctuary for some of the most rare and endangered species in the world, including the largest collection of critically endangered western lowland gorillas in the world, big cats, small cats, primates and the largest herd of African elephants in the UK.

Neil added: ‘At Howletts our visitors can get really close to our animals in their glass fronted enclosures and even walk with lemurs as the primates explore the branches overhead. We offer our visitors the chance to see real conservation in action, whilst enjoying a great day out.’

During the half term week, weather permitting, visitors can also try their hand at the exciting Treetop Challenge – an obstacle course, set high in the trees with rope bridges, tyre curtains, cargo nets and zip wires.  Younger adventurers can enjoy the Animal Adventure Challenge featuring slides, swings and more.

In other news, the popular visitor attraction has announced that throughout February visitors will claim a discount when they book single day entry tickets online, via the parks’ website.
