Fright at the Medical Museum

On Friday 1st November 2013 the brave and the bold are invited to a deadly event at the Thackray Medical Museum.

Prepare to be scared as a regular visit to a medical museum is about to go horribly wrong. It's Dia de Muertos- day of the dead- when those long passed will awaken and crawl through these corridors of medical history. Amputation, murder and mayhem await you if you have the stomach for it.

You will come face to face with gory creatures of the night and are challenged with getting away with all your limbs and organs intact. Scream your way through this special event and you might just make it to the after party and bar. Live entertainment will be provided by Leeds based Blind Dead McJones Band who will be playing some classic Halloween tracks.

Lauren Ryall-Stockton, Curator said "An after-hours event like this is a great way to interact with the galleries in a fun and unique way. The building takes on a completely different feel when the lights go down and we are sure this will be an event to remember".

Tickets cost £13 with discounts for groups of 13 or more and are available from www.thackraymedicalmuseum.co.uk/what-s-on/

This is an interactive experience for over 18's only. The event runs from 9.30pm-11.30pm with the Zombie disco running until 12.30am. Halloween style fancy dress is encouraged.

There are excellent transport links from Leeds City Centre, as well as ample car parking at the museum.

The old workhouse building will be alive with screams for one evening only - book now to avoid disappointment!
