Intrepid film-makers head to Inverewe

Amongst the talent showcasing their experiences at the Inverewe’s Adventure Film Festival this September, are the likes of Emma Mitchell and Isabel Burnham, pacific rowers and Huw Jack Brassington, an adventure racer. In this exclusive festival, audience members will be able to hear the inspiring stories of these adventurers. Hosted at the National Trust for Scotland site on September 15th until 17th, this is the second annual Adventure Travel Film Festival.

Part of a Coxless Crew female team, Emma and Isabel rowed from San Francisco to Cairns on the Pacific. Through their film, Losing Sight of Shore, they tell their story and speaking of their efforts, stated that 'We believe that everyone has their own Pacific to cross.’

Part outdoor fitness journalist, part adventure racer, Huw was a finalist on BBC Ultimate Hell Week in 2016. Huw hopes that by sharing his experiences and stories, others will be inspired to take on their own challenges.

Speaking about the line-up, Kevin Frediani, Property Manager, said,

‘Inverewe is a fantastic setting where the ‘bold adventurer within’ can journey to countless countries. The programme showcases the best of this year’s independent travel films, bring together the adventure travel community in a unique destination between lochs and mountain, guarantee a platform for adventure film-makers, and all in a location that is without doubt remote, challenging and truly inspirational!’

This event showcases some of the best independent travel films over the weekend of September 15th – 17th. For more information about the film festival, click HERE.
