Launching this August, the newest attraction at ZSL London Zoo is officially open!
Explore the wilds meeting creatures from hedgehogs to frogs and beetles to butterflies. The exhibit comes as part of the ZSL’s (Zoological Society of London) Garden Wildlife Health project. The 2013 project, targets and analyses the health status of Britain’s garden wildlife, with support from the public.
The Wildlife Gardens allows visitors to leave with the knowledge and tools to encourage wildlife into their home gardens, with handy tips on how to do so at the exhibit.
ZSL’s Zoological Director, David Field says, ‘There are incredible creatures all around us right here in the UK, often in our own back gardens. We want to inspire the public to step outside and admire these small marvels of British wildlife - and then help us protect them. From amazing insects such as stag beetles and peacock butterflies to hedgehogs and blue tits, no matter how large or small your own outdoor patch, the Garden has plenty of ideas to help make it a welcoming home for wildlife.’
The beautiful exhibit aims to inspire the public to take an interest in the wonderful and marvellous wildlife in UK gardens.
