Penrith is a historical market town and civil parish in Cumbria, lying less than 3 miles outiside the boundaries of the Lake District National Park and located in the Eden Valley. This lovely town has a vast history, becoming the capital of Cumbria in the 9th and 10th century and is now a brilliant shopping area, with a fantastic mix of traditional shops and sophisticated arcades.
