About Scott Monument
At over 200 feet high, this spectacular marble structure towers in the Edinburgh Skyline and boasts spectacular views from the top. If you can make it up all 287 steps to the top not only will you have some of the best views in the entire city but you should come across 64 different characters from the books of Sir Walter Scott. Designed in the 19th century by George Meikle Kemp, this structure is still a stunning example of gothic architecture.
