AMAZING DAY

Due to living quite close to Adventure Island I go their quite often. It's cheap and easy to get too. They have a variety of rides for all ages which makes it a good place to go for a family day out. It doesn't look much from the outside but the rides are actually really good and because it's not such a major theme park the queues are never that long either. Also they do deals like half price wristbands after a certain time or if you get the train which was ideal when I was younger and wanted something to do with my friends.

There's a great restaurant overlooking adventure island, called the Fisherman's Wharf. Do fantastic sea-food - had something called a Pirates Platter, which included calamari, scampi, fish, chips and salad. Quite pricey, but well worth it. You can see all the rides in Adventure Island, from sitting in the restaurant.

I went to Adventure Island not expecting to like many of the rides, from the outside they all look built for kids. This is partly true but as an adult, i did enjoy them too. I'm not sure i would have gone if i didn't have kids with me and for what it is, its quite pricey.
