About Clava Cairn
Clava Cairn is one of Scotland's most sacred prehistoric sites, dominated by a line of three well-preserved burial cairns. The cairns are situated in a small woods and are best visited at sunrise or sunset. Visitors can crawl along the passages, spotting cup-and-ring marks (prehistoric rock art) as they go or take a stroll up the road to see another cairn and the foundations of a medieval chapel.
