About Dover Museum
One of the oldest museums in Kent, Dover Museum has a whole host of varied galleries showcasing objects, graphics and models from the past. The top floor houses the acclaimed Dover Bronze Age Boat Gallery. The Bronze Age Boat was discovered in Dover in 1992, and is of international significance; it's the world's oldest known seagoing boat. The gallery also includes a large collection of treasures from the Bronze Age. This museum has displays on the rich history of Dover from the Stone Age to Medieval Times right the way through to World War II.
