We had heard very mixed reviews about this place and after not visiting for a few years we were reluctant to go back but I have to say that I'm glad we did! Myself and my partner took our two children(15mths+5yrs)as we had a couple of hours to spare. What a change! We couldn't believe the difference since our last visit. As we understand it has been taken over and the new owners have already made huge improvements. Don't be expecting a full day out as it's only small but we happily kept our children entertained for 2hrs or more and the staff we great. A staff member(who later turned out to be the new owner) over heard my partner say how much she was afraid of snakes. Not only did he take the time to speak to us but he also, after just twenty mins, had my partner holding one of the snakes! He even introduced a dragon to our children who enjoyed the experience hugely. The zoo may only be small but for the price its fantastic value and if you have small children then I couldn't advise a trip to The jungle enough. Great attraction and a huge improvement since a few years back. P.s mind the monkey who throws food, he's a REALLY good shot!
