An Invitation...

Jo Fong's hugely enjoyable An Invitation… is about to start its spring 2016 tour. Having been to the Edinburgh Fringe twice, Glasgow and London it has its Welsh premiere next week at Chapter. Performances run from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 January at 8pm, plus an extra performance on the Saturday at 6pm.

An Invitatiom then goes on to tour Swansea, Milford Haven, Aberystwyth, Harlech Manchester and Findhorn in Scotland. It has also been selected to be part of British Dance Edition, the prestigious UK showcase taking place in Cardiff and Newport in March.

Jo Fong, who is based in Cardiff,  is a director, choreographer and performer working in dance, film, theatre and the visual arts. As a dancer, her infectiously raw and rebellious spirit underpinned a highly distinguished career with many major dance companies.

In more recent years she has been making and choreographing her own work. This has included the film project Witness - Portraits of Women Who Dance and Dialogue – A Double Act.

This tour of An Invitation… has been supported by the Arts Council of Wales. The production was developed with the support of the Arts Council of Wales, Coreo Cymru, Chapter, EU Culture, Rubicon Dance and Sherman Cymru. An Invitation… was presented by the British Council as part of its Edinburgh Showcase 2015.
