BBC and Longleat join forces again

A four year plan will see the BBC's Deadly themed programmes incorporated into some areas of Longleat Safari & Adventure Park.

Deadly programmes include Deadly 60; Deadly Top 10s; Deadly 360; Deadly Art and Deadly Madagascar.

Presenter Steve Backshall will provide an original voice guide to the safari, which will include interesting facts and experiences from his many previous adventures. A special Safari Activity Book will also be given out to visitors, who can complete the fun tasks available such as spotting and learning about some of the world's most dangerous animals.

Philip Murphy, Managing Director of BBC Worldwide Live Events said: "Bringing a real-life Deadly adventure to Longleat Safari & Adventure Park is a fantastic opportunity that demonstrates what the Deadly brand is all about, encouraging children to explore the natural world and discover its wonders for themselves."

Budding adventurers can also test their skills against the park's many fearsome creatures. Can you match the strength of a polar bear or evade a viper's strike? And how many animals on the Deadly List can you find in a thrilling race against the clock? Steve Backshall will be with you on the way, testing you with quizzes and challenges to see how much you've learned about the lethal creatures.

The new feature opens from 31st March with entry free with a valid Longleat Day Ticket or Annual Pass. Special seasonal Deadly Adventure events are also planned over the 2013 season starting this Easter to tie in with the opening of the Deadly Safari.
