Drayton Manor Park is celebrating hard after picking up five accolades at the prestigious NFU Mutual Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism Awards.
The much-loved family attraction recieved the awards in a special lunch ceremony that was hosted at Alton Towers Resort on Monday 15th November.
The attraction picked up Gold in the Best Tourism Experience of the Year category for the infamous Drayton Manor Park Magical Christmas event 2015, which saw thousands of people come to the park to celebrate the most festive time of year. Europe’s only Thomas Land® was transformed into a magical land complete with a Castle of Dreams where visitors can spend some quality time with Santa, regular snow showers and Fat Controller Christmas themed shows. Judges felt that there were some interesting events entered this year, but Drayton Manor Park's Magical Christmas was consistently strong across all judging criteria in the category, giving it the competative edge over all the other entrants.
The park’s second victory of the day came in the Business Tourism category for providing exemplary service for all business visitors and delegates at not only the park but also the state-of-the-art hotel. The four-star Drayton Manor Park Hotel complex also won Silver in the Hotel of Year category, a big step up from last year’s Highly Commended.
As if that wasn’t enough, the park was also Highly Commended in both the Large Visitor Attraction category, for venues inviting more than 50,000 visitors a year and the Inclusive Tourism award for Drayton Manor’s continuing commitment to excellence in accessibility.

The Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism Awards are an annual celebration of tourism in the county, which reward entrants for their commitment to delivering excellent customer service, training and skills for employees, sustainability and environment; along with the entrants’ proactivity and dedication to best practice, quality of service and product.
Drayton Manor Park is currently counting down the days to the launch of its award-winning Magical Christmas event, which opens to the public on selected dates from Saturday 19th November 2016 and runs until 31st December. Pre booking tickets is recommended due to demand.
