One of the UK’s leading interactive science centres, At-Bristol Science Centre, has released a new batch of weekly Planetarium-only evening shows, following a sellout trial run of summer Planetarium Nights in the newly refurbished 3D Planetarium.
Planetarium Nights will run on the following dates:
October 15 & 22
November 5, 12, 19, 26
December 2 & 16
The Planetarium Nights events, in response to popular demand, will be a chance for visitors to visit the UK’s first 3D Planetarium for a presenter-led tour of the glittering night sky, in a specially adapted 45-minute long seasonal shows. The presenter-led 'Blue Marvel' show and special 3D shows such as ‘We Are Aliens’ will also be shown.
Using the very latest in digital 3D technology to get close-up views like never before, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the amazing astronomy we can see in the night sky. The experienced Live Science Team will guide visitors through the solar system, looking at seasonal celestial happenings, as well as recent discoveries such as the revelations about water on Mars, or the forthcoming ‘Principia’ International Space Station mission in December.
Show times are 7 and 8:15 for each evening event, with tickets costing £8 (£7 for pre-books through online, phone or in person), £7 for concessions, £6 for groups, and £3.50 for At-Bristol Members.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy At-Bristol’s Space Gallery exhibition, as well as the chance to buy drinks from the bar.
