Explore 'Gruesome Nature' at ZSL London Zoo

Do you know which species can endure radiation, fire and ice and survive in outer space? Or which animal has the largest, slimiest eyeball? Prepare to be wowed by wildlife this May half-term, at ZSL London Zoo’s new interactive stage show Gruesome Nature Live!

From Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June, kids will be led on a sing-a-long adventure as they help ZSL’s zookeepers to welcome two intrepid explorers home from an epic journey to find the toughest species on earth.

Visitors will discover a frog whose babies are born crawling out of its skin, a lizard that squirts blood out of its eyes to deter predators and are guaranteed to be astonished when the world’s toughest species is finally revealed.

Presented by a troop of exciting characters and packed with fascinating facts about the weirdest and most impressive creatures on the planet, Gruesome Nature Live! will take place every day and invites kids of all ages to discover the more stomach-churning side of the animal kingdom.

ZSL’s Gruesome Nature Live! creator Ruth Thomas said: “We’re sure children and adults alike will love this new interactive stage show: packed with fun new songs and unique animals for kids of all ages to discover, Gruesome Nature Live! has plenty of surprises at the ready this May half-term.”

Gruesome Nature Live! at ZSL London Zoo will run from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June 2017 with shows starting at 1:45pm. A great value day out, the show is included in the Zoo entry price.
