Fabulous Spring Colour Awaits Visitors to Hole Park Gardens in Kent

The beautiful Hole Park Gardens in Rolvenden, Kent will open to visitors every day from 23 March 2014.

In early spring these beautiful gardens wake with a mass of flowering bulbs which cover the 16 acre gardens and 10 acre woodland including swathes of narcissus and daffodils, muscari and galanthus.  Hellebores too provide interest along with early flowering cherry trees and impressive mature magnolia trees.  The woodlands will be awash with primroses and scillas.

Later in April, visitors can look forward to the amazing display of bluebells which can be best enjoyed via the circular woodland walk which also takes you past a renovated ice house lit by solar power.   The naturalised flowering meadows with their fritillaries and buttercups are also pretty in April and tulips provide splashes of colour around the gardens at this time of year.

In May visitors can see the striking standard wisterias in the pretty vineyard garden and walk through the newly renovated sundial garden which leads to a striking new allium walk.  Impressive rhododendrons and azaleas flower throughout the gardens in May and wild orchids will start to flower in the meadows.

Hole Park’s website has a bluebell barometer and information on what can be seen in the gardens throughout the seasons.

Light lunches and delicious homemade cakes are available in the coach house where apple juice, local beer and homemade jam and honey produced from the fruit and bees on the Hole Park Estate can be purchased. There is also a small plant stall next to the coach house.

Hole Park is situated 4 miles west of Tenterden on the B2086 between Rolvenden and Benenden.

Admission: £6.00 for adults and £1 for children.  The gardens are open 11am to 6pm.
