Great Half Term Dinosaur Hunt

This October half term, Dorchester’s Dinosaur Museum comes alive with the Great Dinosaur Hunt. To solve various clues and solve the dinosaur mystery, children will explore the whole Museum. With actual fossils, skeletons and life-size dinosaur reconstructions with hands on, interactive and AV displays, the Dinosaur Museum is the perfect place for a dinosaur hunt!

Tim Batty, the museum’s curator said, “The Great Dinosaur Hunt is always extremely popular and is great fun for children. All those children who correctly crack the code and solve the dinosaur mystery will win a special Dinosaur Hunter medal.”

He added, “This year has seen the Dinosaur Museum add new interactive touchscreen displays that let visitors discover more about dinosaurs and their fascinating pre-historic world and in one case to ‘build’ a dinosaur. Also new this summer, were two additional dinosaur reconstructions- one of which is a Tyrannosaurus. So there are plenty of new things to see and do at the Dinosaur Museum.”

The Dinosaur Museum is situated in the centre of the historic county, Dorchester in Dorset. Over the years, the museum has won much acclaim and recognition, most recently being cited as one of Britain’s top ten family museums. It is open daily from 10am to 4pm.

The Great Dinosaur Hunt begins on Saturday 25th October and ends on Sunday 2nd November. For further information, either phone 01305 269880 or visit www.thedinosaurmuseum.com.
