Visitors to Chatsworth Country Fair this September 2, 3 and 4 will get the opportunity to see The Great British Bake Off judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood create their favourite dishes, in a series of live cookery demonstrations - just one of the fantastic treats in store at this years event.

Paul Hollywood, the Hugely popular TV presenter and baker, will be appearing for the first time at the fair. Paul is widely known for being a judge on the BAFTA award winning The Great British Bake Off alongside Mary Berry and specialises in artisan baking. On Friday 2 September he will be cooking up some treats for the Derbyshire crowd.

Mary Berry OBE, the Queen of baking and favourite of the fair, returns for a fourth year and will be performing cookery demonstrations on Saturday 3 September using recipes from her upcoming book.

Food writer and broadcaster Valentine Warner will also be making an appearance at the fair, rounding off the three day event by cooking up some delicious dishes on Sunday 4 September. Valentine’s deep love of cooking, nature and travel has seen him make nine television series and write four cookery books, and is sure to be a hit with food fans.

Demonstrations will take place in the AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre located in a dedicated marquee with TV screens, PA and seating at the heart of the Fine Food Village.

Another Great British Bake Off alumni who is also making her first appearance at the fair this year is the programme’s youngest ever contestant, Martha Collison, who wowed judges and viewers alike with her showstopping baking skills in the 2014 series of the hit show. Martha, a self-taught baker who started
cooking at the age of eight and is now involved with a number of baking projects, including her weekly column with Waitrose and her recently acquired role as afternoon tea consultant at The Gatsby Club in Wimbledon, which she balances with her A-Level studies. Her first cookbook, Twist, is due to be published this July.

With the hottest chefs from across the region packing out a full timetable each day, the Cookery Theatre is sure to be a highlight for visitors. Also cooking up some treats in the tent will be Matt Gabbitas of Masa, Derby’s Restaurant of the Year 2015; Jon Hardy, winner of Derbyshire Life Chef of the Year 2015-2016; and Tom Lawson, co-owner of Rafters restaurant in Sheffield which is featured in the Michelin Guide.

For those who are inspired by the demonstrations at the Cookery Theatre, there’s an opportunity to sit down for afternoon tea in Daisy’s Vintage Tea Room or buy some delicious ingredients to take home. The Fine Food Village showcases more than 70 local and small artisan producers providing the chance to buy fresh seasonal food and gourmet delights.

Around the showground, there are plenty more wonderful shopping opportunities, with some great boutique clothing stands, traders selling tools, pet supplies, shooting, hunting and fishing equipment, fine wines, arts and crafts, and gardening equipment.

With children under 14 admitted free, the Chatsworth Country Fair is great value for a family day out. A popular favourite with all ages is the Olde Tyme Fairground, with its classic rides: the Helter Skelter; Chair-O-Plane, Gallopers and the magnificent Big Wheel. Around the showground, look out for lots more entertainment with target golf; pony rides; bungee trampolines and climbing walls.
