Look no further than the Spa Valley Railway, for a great family day out in May -which has a destination at every station!
The railway will be operating a regular service on Sunday 1 May and Monday 2 May 2016.
A special ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotion will apply on Sunday 29 May and Monday 30 May when children can travel for just £1 when accompanied by an adult, who travel for just £9. A family ticket of two adults and two children will be just £20 on ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotional days!
When you travel on the railway, passengers can choose to disembark at the famous High Rocks and visit the rocks themselves and perhaps enjoy a lovely meal in the inn whilst watching the trains go by. Or alternatively, disembark at Groombridge and take the 15 minute stroll to Groombridge Place. Discounted joint tickets are available for train travel with entry to High Rocks and Groombridge Place.
Travel with the Driver for just £10!
Live your childhood dream and see our line from up the front with the engine driver for just £10 when you travel along the 3 ½ mile line between Tunbridge Wells and Groombridge or vice versa. The experience is available to anyone aged 16 and will include travelling with the driver of our much loved diesel engine named ‘Thumper’.
Families visiting in May can also enjoy seeingPaddington and Pepper Pig.
Visiting us for the first time this year is Paddingtonhimself on Sunday 8 May! He'll be travelling to one of our stations and for just £9 per adult and £4.50 per child you can meet this famous bear too! Your ticket will include a round trip on the Spa Valley Railway by steam engine (subject to availability) and the opportunity to meet Paddington.
Peppa Pig will be returning to the Spa Valley Railway on Sunday 15 May! She'll be travelling to one of our stations and for just £9 per adult and £4.50 per child you can meet her too!
