Blackpool Grand Theatre News - Summer season tickets selling fastSummer has hit Blackpool and the Grand Theatre Box Office is seeing hundreds of people flock through the doors to get their hands on tickets for the two incredible shows Ooh La La and Step Back In Time.

This week the talented cast will come together from around the world to begin rehearsals in Blackpool. Producers Steve and Stephen Bor have said that there will be an opportunity for the general public to catch a unique glimpse of the rehearsal process in an open rehearsal session, the date of which is yet to be announced.

Bor Productions said,

"The cast and the creative team are very excited to start rehearsals and everyone is looking forward to a fantastic and special season at the Grand Theatre. The finishing touches are being rehearsed in Blackpool this week."

The two high quality shows on offer have been produced and specially created for the Grand Theatre's 2013 Summer Season by the internationally acclaimed production company Bor Productions. Choreographed by London Olympic 2012 ceremony choreographer Nathan Clarke and hosted by hilarious comic duo Cannon and Ball, these shows are simply unmissable!

Starring in both shows is singing sensation Katie Shepherd, stunningly agile Cirque-artist Emilie Arata, European star and elegant aerial contortionist O'Neil Reyes, World-Class comic juggler Romano Frediani and the dynamic and glamorous All-Star Dancers.

Katie Shepherd began performing at an early age, becoming a British champion in freestyle disco dancing at the age of seven, but it soon became clear that she had a special gift for singing.

Since leaving college, Katie has been popular with audiences around the world, having worked on several contracts onboard luxury cruise liners for Bor Productions and other international touring circuits.

Katie said, "I am thrilled to be working with Cannon & Ball this summer at the historic

Grand Theatre in Blackpool especially because it will be my debut performance in British Theatre."

Joining Katie in Ooh La La and Step Back In Time is European contortionist Emilie Arata.

Emilie was born into an Irish circus family and started training at the age of five. She has performed all over the world from America to Qatar, Europe, Great Britain, and Scandinavia.

When Emilie was 11 she performed with her family for Princess Anne and at aged 17 performed in a talent show hosted by Graham Norton, When Will I Be Famous. The talented performer went on to win the show and received £10,000 prize money which she donated to charity.

Also starring in both shows is world class juggler Oneil Reyes. Hailed as Cuba's best known and celebrated acts, Oneil was one of the founding members of the now famous CircoNacional de Cuba (National Circus of Cuba).

He has wowed audiences with his hand balancing and aerial strap acts most notably in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Domincan Republic and South Africa. His strength and physical prowess is admired and much loved by audiences of all kinds.

Oneil said, "I am very excited to be making my professional UK debut at the Blackpool Grand Theatre this summer!"

Not to be missed Romano Fredini is a world-class comic juggler. Born into a prestigious European circus family, he represents the eighth generation of circus and stage performers in the Frediani lineage. While racking up over 1,000 performances on Broadway, he won critical acclaim, including high praise from renowned The New York Times, "A manic, inexhaustible talent who rouses the audience to laughter and applause!"
