Santa Special Tickets now on sale at the Spa Valley Railway

Tickets are now on sale for the popular Santa Specials at the Spa Valley Railway in Royal Tunbridge Wells. 

Journeys start from Eridge station where visitors will be met with festive music and the smell of hot chestnuts and a roaring coal fire in the festively decorated waiting room.   Arrive a little earlier for children to have their cheeks painted with either a Christmas Tree or Snowman in the ladies Waiting Room before boarding the train!

The festive train service will operate on the following dates in December from Eridge Station:

2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th December. Trains will depart at 10:15, 12:15, 14:15 and 16:15.

Whilst waiting to board the Santa Specials Train hot and cold drinks together with either a snack or light lunch will be available to purchase from the award winning Bar Car "Kate".

Once on board, everyone can sit back and enjoy a ride through the winter countryside to Tunbridge Wells West. During the journey Santa will visit every child with a gift.  Every child aged 2-10yrs will receive a present from Santa including babies (age 0-2 years).

Keep an eye out as the train passes through Groombridge for a ‘Spot the Snowman’ competition.  Everyone who spots a Snowman can choose to be entered into a prize draw to win tickets for one of next year’s character days.

The train journey to Tunbridge Wells West will last around 40-45 minutes where upon arrival enjoy meeting Santa again in his sleigh and partaking in all the activities on offer.

Every adult will receive a complimentary mince pie to enjoy and a shortbread train biscuit for every child.

There will be just enough time to say hello to the engine driver and visit the shop for those all-important Christmas gifts before taking the 20 minute return journey to Eridge.     The popular balloon modeller will visit all the children on their journey to or from Tunbridge Wells West.

Passengers can choose to purchase tickets in Standard Class or Premier Class.  Premier class seats will be in one of the dining cars complete with white table cloth, a cracker for each family to pull and a Christmas snack box containing a selection of snacks to enjoy on the journey to Tunbridge Wells West.  Snack Boxes will include:  Mini Sausage Rolls, Mini Cheese & Onion Rolls, Salted Crisps, Mince Pies and Shortbread Train Biscuits.
