Season's greetings from Santa and his little Gentoo helpers

12th to 23rd December 2015

Santa Claus is coming to town! Well to The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham to be exact, and the attraction is encouraging families to come to Birmingham and meet him this Christmas.

The magic of Lapland will be brought to the underwater themed attraction during its special Merry Fishmas event, from 12th to 23rd December 2015. Visitors can meet Father Christmas* in his Antarctic Grotto that’s situated alongside the attraction’s coolest residents, the charming and cheeky Gentoo penguin colony.

Little ones can also receive a gift from Santa too and what’s more, there’s no extra cost for this fun and festive experience.

But that’s not all! The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham will be displaying a tinsel-tastic underwater Christmas tree in its 360˚ Ocean Tunnel! Visitors will also get to learn lots of fishy facts from one of the expert aquarists about how the attraction’s residents will be treated this Christmas – some of the creatures will even be feasting on Brussels sprouts!

If all that wasn’t enough, visitors can board The Polar Express in the 4D Cinema, where it will depart throughout the day from the 1st to the 31st December and will be helping visitors enter the festive season full steam ahead! This heart-warming film, combined with 4D special effects of falling snow and the smell of hot chocolate, makes a memorable experience for all the family.

Families can also take in some star gazing as they get up close and personal to the newest additions at The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham – sea stars. The pop up bubbles, peek-a-boo holes and giant windows ensure fantastic visibility of these fascinating creatures with species including the Chocolate Chip, Brittle Star, Red Knobbed and giant Sunstar.

The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham is home to over 2,000 creatures, such as sharks, as well as a rescued Giant Green Sea Turtle, jellyfish, piranha, octopus and rays.

For further information or to pre-book tickets online before your visit please go to www.SEALIFE.co.uk/birmingham/. Reduced prices are available for tickets booked in advance.
