The Edinburgh Dungeon is hit by an outbreak of the Black Death

One of Scottish capital’s most insidious killer’s is back to wreak havoc throughout the city, over 350 years since it last reared its ugly pus filled head. An outbreak of the plague has been reported at the Edinburgh Dungeon where visitors will become its latest the victims in the coming weeks!

From the 8 February, visitors to Outbreak! at the Dungeon will take their health in their own hands as they are faced with a damning diagnosis from Dr John Paulitious – the infamous Edinburgh plague doctor who came to a very sweaty, bloody and gangrenous end himself way back in 1645.

Aided by the pernicious Judge Mental the doctor will be checking visitors for signs of infection, and those found to be symptomatic of this most deadly disease will meet a grim and ghastly end.

Those lucky enough to survive the first cull still won’t be able to relax as the plague spreads across time, reappearing throughout the unforgettable 80-minute interactive adventure spanning 1000 years of Scotland’s most gruesome history.

Outbreak! will run from the 8 to 24 February, adding new twists to the horrifying yet hilarious live-actor shows packed with state of the art special effects, 360º theatrical sets, two heart stopping rides and gripping storytelling by hero characters.

Advance bookings are recommended, with online tickets from £10.95 for adults and £9.50 for children. For more information follow @EdinDungeon on Twitter or visit www.thedungeons.com/edinburgh.
