The Grand Theatre...Where the Magic Happens

The Grand Theatre has something magical for everyone this Christmas, whether you’re searching for that unique gift for someone special, or just want to treat your loved ones to a festive night out with a difference…

We all know it can be difficult to find a memorable gift for the person who has everything. The Grand Theatre offers the perfect solution! With magical stocking-filler ideas such as Theatre Vouchers, stunning theatre tours, photographic sessions and of course, tickets to our award-winning productions, you will find a gift for just about anyone this Festive Season.

With our 4-hour Photographic Sessions, run by world-class photographer Sean Conboy (Photo-genics), photography lovers will not be disappointed. This incredible experience includes a masterclass in photography, where Sean will give you top tips about photographing heritage interiors. You will also have free-reign to take your own images of the theatre, with Sean’s expert guidance.

Or why not give someone the gift of theatre this Christmas? We have a variety of shows for everyone to enjoy, such as the stunning Russian State Ballets; Giselle, The Snow Maiden and The Nutcracker and The Olivier Award-winning English Touring Opera’s, Don Giovanni and Iphigenie en Tauride.

For the family, Sadler’s Wells groundbreaking international festival of hip hop dance, Breakin’ Convention is back after their phenomenal success in 2014! ZooNation present a newly revamped version of an award-winning West End production Into the Hoods: Remixed and The RSC mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Bring the children to join the ultimate arts and craft hero Mister Maker, for his first ever live theatre tour! See the world premiere of David Walliams Gangsta Granny and Surprise! Peppa Pig, George and their friends are back in Blackpool in a brand new live stage show, Peppa Pig’s Surprise.

Or treat friends to ‘comedy’s holy grail’ (Sunday Times) Ed Byrne or discover up and coming comedians at the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. Previously acts have included Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican before they hit the big time. So come and see more brilliant comedians!

If you can’t decide between our fantastic shows, don’t forget you can purchase Theatre Vouchers from our Box Office, so your loved ones can choose whichever show they wish.

As well as providing the perfect gift, The Grand has plenty more to offer during the build up to Christmas…

Get into the festive mood by treating all the family to The Grand’s fun-filled pantomime, the enchanting Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Tickets start from only £14.50 for children and there are plenty of concessions available! This truly magical panto stars Su Pollard (Hi-de-Hi!), Blackpool’s very own Dan Whiston (Dancing on Ice) and BBC Radio Lancashire presenter and family favorite Steve Royle.

The uplifting Grand Christmas Concert on 18 December is the best festive night out you can imagine- all in the stunning surroundings of our beautiful theatre. Poulton Band will take you through all the warm and fuzzy classic Christmas carols, as well as some quirky extras thrown in.
