Do you dare to go into Into the Hoods at Blackpool Grand?
ZooNation Dance Company, the award-winning hip hop company, brings their revamped five-star performance of Into the Hoods: Remixed to Blackpool fresh from the London stage this March.
Into the Hoods stormed the West End in 2008, becoming one of the first ever hip-hop dance shows and one of the longest running dance shows in West End history.
This distinctly modern, urban, and witty take on the classic fairytale is perfect for all the family. Told through impressive dance routines, vibrant humour and a feel-good soundtrack, young and old will be swept away with what TIME OUT magazine calls the ‘infectious joy that makes it hard to stay still in your seat.’
Set in the ‘Ruff Endz Estate’, Into the Hoods: Remixed follows two lost schoolchildren who have been tasked to find an iPhone as white as milk, some trainers as pure as gold, a hoodie as red as blood, and some weave as yellow as corn. Along the way, they meet DJ Spinderella, aspiring singer Lil Red, vivacious rapper Rap-on-Zel, and budding music producer Jaxx as they embark upon a storybook adventure into the heart of a pulsating community.
Premiered at London’s Peacock Theatre in October 2015, where the show first began, the company are heading out on the road for a brief 10-stop tour of the UK.

These guys aren’t just incredibly talented, they also put on a hilarious and feel-good show. Into the Hoods: Remixed takes the classic fairytale and brings it up to date, in a way that really relates to the culture of so many young people. Those who enjoyed Breakin’ Convention and Boy Blue will love this show.”
Into the Hoods: Remixed has been updated for 2016, featuring new choreography, a remixed soundtrack and fresh designs. The show has been devised under the same direction of Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Kate Prince to ensure all the wit, charm and pace of the original.
