Best known for Alnwick Castle, this town is also known for other beautiful landmarks, such as the adjacent Alnwick Gardens, which after extensive redevelopments now features a treehouse as well as several water fountains, alongside the poison garden. Within the town is a thriving playhouse which stages theatre, dance, music, cinema and visual arts productions, or visit the Bailiffgate Museum, a small independant museum that is dedicated to the history of Alnwick and North Northumberland. Don't forget to take a shopping trip in Alnwick's market place and the surrounding shopping streets of Narrowgate, Fenkle Street and Bondgate Within!
