About Aberdeen

Nicknamed The Silver City with the Golden Sands, Aberdeen is Scotland's third most populous city and one of the most historic. The town has won the Britain in Bloom a record-breaking ten times and hosts a major international event, Aberdeen International Youth Festival, which attracts up to a 1,000 of the most talented young performing art companies. If you're looking for a bit of history, visit the Aberdeen Maritime Museum to find out the city's history with the sea and to see the 8.5 metre high model of the Murchison oil production platform, as well as a 19th-century assembly taken from Rattray Headlighthouse.
