About Crowland Abbey
This parish church is still a functioning place of worship and has several areas of historic interest housed within. Once a Benedictine monastary, this abbey was founded for the hermit saint, St. Guthlac in the eighth century and rebuilt several times over the decades, and now still stands as an impressive work of religous architecture.
