About Antonine Wall

The Antonine Wall, stretching from Clyde to Forth, is an awe-inspiring building project which was constructed around 142 AD. The Romans built the wall to mark the north-west frontier of their empire, as a symbol of both their power and authority. Visitors today are invited to explore these mighty ruins, to step in time and imagine what life was like for the Romans who had been posted here, as well as take in the stunning views surrounding.
