About Alfriston

If you're looking for a cultured experience, Alfriston can give you one. A small village located in the district of Wealden, Alfriston has seen its fair share of history, such as the beginnings of The Star Inn, which was originally a religious hostel before becoming an inn in the 16th Century and was soon used a base for a smuggling gang. There are two other pubs though if the Star Inn doesn't take your fancy; The George Inn and The Smugglers Inn. There's also a market for any shopping that needs to be done, and the village has its own clay pigeon shooting club. Make sure to visit in December during Alfriston Christmas Weekend.
